Hello

My name is Alex, a professional and hobbyist reverse engineer. I started in college with a Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering class, where I learned the process of static and dynamic reverse engineering by analyzing historical malware. From there, I’ve snaked through multiple cyber positions since 2019, where I found my favorite aspects to be the automation of low-level reverse engineering of binary code and exploiting software to do what was not intended.

A curiosity with how software works and a fascination of cryptography has led me to several personal projects, which you can read all about here on the Binary Breakdown blog.
